Appointment Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Ability to perform duties
- Basic literacy
- Relevant experience in providing cleaning services will be an added advantage
- Must undergo a criminal record check and allow fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost
Job Purpose
To provide effective cleaning services across all rental housing schemes by maintaining a clean, hygienic, safe and healthy environment for tenants, visitors and employees, while ensuring that municipal cleaning standards and procedures are adhered to at all times.

Primary Functions
- Clean and maintain facilities, communal areas, corridors, stairways and ablution facilities
- Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum and sanitise designated areas
- Empty waste bins and ensure proper disposal of refuse
- Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies as required
- Report damages, defects and maintenance issues
- Sweep and clean walkways, pavements, entrances, parking areas and surrounding grounds
- Collect and dispose of litter and other waste
- Maintain cleanliness of hostel and rental housing scheme surroundings
- Assist in keeping public and common spaces safe, hygienic and free from hazards
- Report unsafe conditions, vandalism and maintenance requirements to the relevant supervisor
