An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Petroleum Tanker Driver to operate ultra-heavy vehicles (gross vehicle mass or gross combination mass exceeding 25 000 kg) for Unitrans in the Petroleum division.
This is a temporary fixed-term contract based in Milnerton, Western Cape, under the Cape Fuel Cape Town contract.

Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric / NQF Level 4 or Grade 10 / NQF Level 2
Code EC driver’s licence with PrDP
“D” endorsement if required to operate a Dangerous Goods (DG) vehicle
At least 3 years’ experience as a petroleum/tanker driver
Safe driving record
Clean criminal record
Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare vehicles for a trip
Operate ultra-heavy duty vehicles
Perform vehicle inspections before and after the trip
Handle documentation from dispatch to the customer and back to the distribution centre
Take full responsibility for the roadworthiness of the vehicle when leaving the depot
Be prepared to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
Account for all goods being transported to the customer
Follow all other reasonable instructions from the supervisor
