Closing Date: 26 August 2026
Stipend: R3,960.00 per month
Duration: 12 months (3 months training + 9 months workplace-based training)
About the Role
To carry out timeous and quality planned facility, maintenance, construction works and preventive emergency maintenance on all specified equipment and/or facilities.
Perform tasks in accordance with job cards (work orders) issued as per contractor requirements.
Investigate, evaluate and restore identified equipment malfunctions.
Carry out minor repairs and services on electrical equipment and appliances.
Perform office & building related tasks – installation of furniture, shop fitting, repairs to doors, locks, handles, windows, replacement of ceilings, carpets, tiles and general paint work.
Carry out minor installations, repairs and services on plumbing related equipment.
Prepare and perform painting, scraping and finishing works on sites.
Perform Tier 1 inspections and repairs on aircon related equipment.
Carry out inspections and report on fire & access equipment – fire extinguishers, hose reels, hydrants, fire detectors and access control equipment.
Assist artisans with major repairs and services.
Provide constant feedback to Facilities, Services and Building Managers and resource coordinators on restoration statuses of operations.
Requirements
Grade 9–12 or Senior Certificate.
Minimum N1 Technical in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Plumbing.
0–12 months related work experience.
Work Integrated Learning (WIL) beneficiaries are encouraged to apply.
Basic training in hand tools (Electrical and Mechanical).
Basic knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act.
