Minimum Requirements
- NQF Level 4 (Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate or equivalent)
- Mine Planning certificate of competence
- Supervisor Operations certificate of competence
- At least 5 years’ experience in a related role (preferably in underground mining / Mine Technical Services / planning environment)
- Medically fit to work in the specific business area (mining fitness)
- Clear security screening record
- Valid driver’s licence (if applicable)
Key Responsibilities
Scheduling & Operations:
- Create and monitor execution schedules in MineRP Work Manager
- Conduct logistics and office administration
- Ensure complete shift start-up and close-out documentation
- Generate work orders with safety instructions
- Monitor work allocation and resource availability
- Update mining actuals for planning and reconciliation
Stakeholder & People Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Provide coaching, training, and performance management to staff
- Ensure fair work allocation and inspire high performance
Compliance & Improvement:
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) standards, company policies, and Quality Management Systems
- Participate in risk assessments and support ESG/responsible mining principles
